Goldman group set to buy message system as alternative to Bloomberg – sources

Goldman Sachs is making a move to finally replace the Bloomberg Chat system for internal messaging. The move comes after the 2013 scandal where Goldman Sachs discovered Bloomberg reporters were viewing private information about Goldman Sachs employee activities. Goldman Sachs apparently will buy the chat provider named Perzo. Many other large banks and institutions such as Morgan Stanley, HSBC, JP Morgan, Bank of America, and BlackRock are following Goldman’s lead and looking into Perzo as a new chat tool. This symbolizes a large culture change for banks internally as they reduce dependence on the Bloomberg terminals.
